Great photos, Indie. You did get there, right?

I was afraid this blog would confuse folks. I'm trying something revolutionary. Blogs are usually newest post at the top, older posts get pushed down. This blog is the other way around. THis is the first post, the second post is after it. If you go to the next post after this one "older post" you'll get the second page, the one chronologically after this one, and so on. Or just load the archive page for May and you'll have all the posts on one page, to look at from top to bottom. The blog is also complete and finished. No new posts are planned - but I may change my mind if I go to Barcelona again. :-)

Oh! I get it now. This is cool, sort of like a photo-novel. There's a lot of great photos. I'll have to sit up all night and look at them carefully. A lot of imaginary stories will come from them! Glad you had a good time.
We messed with one of the pics on Icy's Playground so far.

That was fun Indie. I had a couple of interesting trips to Barcelona during grad school.

Icy: No problems with using the photo - I feel honored.

Mrs Weirsdo: I was reluctant to send you the link because I didn't think you would like the photos. But I'm glad it was enjoyable after all.

LOL. I'm glad you explained the posting order. I love the lap dance you're getting over at Icy's place.

Tlp: I feel bad. Whoever heard of reading anything from top to bottom these days. Sadly it's not me getting the lap dance, but the passenger sitting next to me :-(

My mom is in Madrid right this moment.
This is her first trip to Spain.
I'm gonna check out more photos and commentary from your trip.

Thanks to Tom & Icy for this link!! :)

Cool of you to stop by Jamie! I wish you mother a wonderful time in Spain!

But I'm sorry to say, there will be no commentary, and these are all the pictures - click the archive for May to see them all on one page.

Glad you explained the order of the posts - because being short of time, I was planning only to read the first one... would have missed everything! Now I'll come back later when I do have time to finish the read. I'm preparing for a trip to Italy in just a few weeks. Nice plane shots anyway.

I've just realized I left a comment for you at Icy's playground but not here!

I like these pictures because they seem to tell about the same Hemingway told about Madrid, Barcelona and other big Spanish cities, all the things you hardly ever see in professional pictures of catalogues and such. when looking at your pictures I understand what he meant when said, it is not what you expect from a Spanish city but a real good place.

Tsduff: Glad it makes sense now. It was fun to set up this blog. I had to post all the photos in reverse order.

Ariel: That's an overwhelming statement. I don't know enough about Hemmingway to compare his mood with mine - but in photography I don't like perfect, antiseptic compositions, but rather chance constelattions, spontaneity. That's what I try for, and I'm glad it can create some kind of an effect.

Loved this blog. Haven't seen all the photos yet, will take some time. But obviously your working with chance and spontaneity gives one the feeling of being there oneself.

Thank you Batul - your comment made me very happy, because it is just this element of spontaneity that so fascinates me about photography. At least that's what I admired most in the photography of Robert Frank, Andres Kertesz and others.

¡barcelona! I want to know this city. Mi sister was there in 2006. Woody Allen is now there. I like the pics.

Wow! Woody Allen is in Barcelona now? I was there the week before last but missed him :-( But I did take a lot of new pictures to post here :-)

Hi Indie!

I am so sorry to hear about your wife. I read about it on one of your blogs and left a comment with condolences. I apologize if you did not receive it. I hope she us recovering well and you had a nice holiday.
Not blogging much anymore (as you noticed) and when I do, I seem to gravitate to my first blog on a hit and run basis! Maybe I'll return to Box soon~
Peace............
